ABOUT SRI SANTI ASHRAM


"The Mission of Peace - Sri Santi Ashram" at Thotapalli, in East Godavari District of Andhra Pradesh, India was founded by Pujya Swami Omkar Ji in 1917, keeping the lofty ideals of welfare of mankind, world peace and interfaith harmony in mind, with a supreme resolution, took up this significant work for realizing his ideals. Thotapalli is a small village surrounded by enchanting scenery amidst two ranges of hills with a perennial spring named 'Mallikarjuna Dhara'.


Since the inception of Sri Santi Ashram, many distinguished persons, accomplished scholars, humble and reverent devotees shaped the activities of the Ashram. They have supported and helped and are continuing to do so with full dedication, making it possible to achieve beneficial results meaningfully and efficiently within a short time.



The Ashram has expanded and it is now a flourishing about 100 acres of land with several flowering and fruit bearing trees - a veritable heaven on earth. The scope and services rendered by the Ashram are expanding day by day with continuing support from selfless and devoted people. The Thotapalli Ashram not only has made progress in multiple directions but has also opened branches in Waltair, Kakinada, Pithapuram (AP) and Kotagiri (Tamilnadu) to help devotees locally in their spiritual progress.

The Ashram is rendering active service to the poor and needy, under the able and loving guidance of Mathaji Jnaneswari, who was appointed by Swami Omkar ji as his successor. Following in his footsteps, she is taking forward his mission for Universal Brotherhood, Peace and Harmony. With her selfless devotion, humble and pleasing nature, she is always eager to serve the ashram visitors and inmates with a mesmerizing smile. Great and learned men from both far and near have visited the Ashram and appreciated its silent work.


Many have made best use of the solitude and silence that the Ashram offers. Swami Narayan, the direct disciple of Sri Swami Rama Tirtha, Swami Sivananda, Swami Chidananda of Divine Life Society, Swami Yogananda, heads of several religious missions, Sri Vinoba Bhave and several other Central and State Dignitaries like Sri V.V. Giri, and Sri S.Radhakrishnan, and several leading personalities of the East and West visited the Ashram and recorded their appreciation. Devotees who seek peace come from different countries of the world, visit the Mother Ashram and its branches and experience peace. To the devotees who have not visited the ashram earlier, a hearty welcome into the divine presence awaits!
